Born in 1904 out of a journalistic vacuum when both existing city newspapers refused to cover and expose the monopolistic practices of the local light and power company. Then the La Crosse Tribune stepped into the void; and today the La Crosse Tribune and River Valley Media Group continue that proud tradition of fearless local journalism and responsibility to community service.

Part of Lee Enterprises since 1906, today’s River Valley Media Group, through its three daily newspapers, six weekly publications, and their related online platforms and social media channels; reaches more than 73% of the adults in the marketplace each week.
